Journey of Hope Walk is a great example of a website with custom built applications specifically designed for the one event the site is being utilized for. A fundraising walk to benefit a support group for patients with brain tumors and their families; the site is designed to provide information on the event and to create a means to raise money for the cause.

Two distinct functions were created to help the transition of potential participant to reality. The first option is to register one’s self for the event on the site. This creates a page for the participant to then notify others who may want to visit the site and donate to the cause. The second option is to straight up donate to the cause. A user can donate money to the event or to a specific participant by visiting their page.
